Corten d’Anselmo

Corten d'Anselmo is a custom-designed privacy fence and entry enclosure located in the hillside landscape of San Anselmo, California. Fabricated from weathering Corten steel, the panels are arranged in a rhythmic composition of solid forms and vertical slits, allowing filtered views of the surrounding terrain while maintaining a sense of enclosure and intimacy.

The design balances raw materiality with sculptural intent, creating a modern yet grounded intervention that harmonizes with the natural topography. Over time, the steel's patina will evolve, further integrating the structure into the wooded and stone-lined environment.

This project embodies a quiet strength—functional, minimal, and deeply tied to place.
